MIDDLE ACT: SPRING DAY
Fresh from her appearance on Live At The Apollo, Spring Day is an American stand-up comedian, writer and actor. Spring’s uniquely acerbic and sassy style of comedy is always a crowd pleaser, or shocker... A fluent Japanese speaker and a mild cerebral palsy haver, Spring began her career headlining at the Tokyo Comedy Store whilst based in Japan. She has written, produced, directed and performed seven solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and also written for and appeared in BBC Three sitcom Jerk.

Desiree exploded onto the UK comedy scene upon arriving from her native New York.
As seen on Taskmaster, Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News For You, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock The Week, Frankie Boyles New World Order and much more! She is a multi award winning stand up, tours sold out venues around the world and is genuinely regarded as one of the best and funniest comedians in existence.

Too many american comedians on the line up, the first guy was hilarious, compare was also fabulous. First American lady 🤷🏻♀️ sound was so bad she couldn’t connect with the audience properly she may have been funny but it wasn’t audible. Desiree was too much for us. Fast and furious for us exhausting and not really funny. We just wanted her to end. Just a shame we didn’t get the act we booked for and the sound wasn’t great.

I enjoyed this less than previous evenings. Not sure the venue worked, long queues and the mix of acts seemed less balanced than previous nights.

I’ve been to other venues (Rugby club & Christ church) but this is the best and so great to see it fully booked. I hope there are more comedy nighty at Cinematic but will get there a bit earlier as we had to go upstairs which wasn’t as good for the acoustics. Shame about the microphone issues but guess that’s part of live gigs and the act deal with it very well. Great night thanks to everyone involved!
