Headliner: Silky
A powerhouse of the UK circuit, Silky has been bringing high-energy musical comedy, brilliant crowd work, and razor-sharp stand-up to audiences worldwide since 1997. A finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards (alongside Lee Mack and Daniel Kitson) and the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year, he is praised by icons like John Bishop ("a very, very funny fella... just brilliant") and Jason Manford ("He smashed it"). Opening Act: Alex Stringer
One of the fastest-rising stars on the UK circuit, Alex brings hysterically deadpan delivery and a phenomenal gag rate. I've been attending these comedy nights since the early days at the rugby club, and Nodding Dog/Stand Up Macclesfield never fails to please. Yet again, three fabulous comedians, a new (to me) MC, great beer, and an electric atmosphere makes for a memorable Friday night of comedy. Loved it!

We acted upon the recomendation to book a table at the venue and order food before the show. The venue unfortunately had run out of pizza dough and we asked if we could get food from a third party and bring back to the venue. This was accepted but we felt that it was reluctantly. We were very impressed with Andrew O'Neill who swiftly sorted out two very rude ladies who were heckling the acts.
