TweetJoin us on Thursday October 8th for another night of superb stand up comedy at the newly renovated Dolphin Pub in partnership with Shoe Cake Comedy and Higgledy Gigs.
What a show we've got booked for you!
Our Headline Act is the BRILLIANT ...
ROB ROUSE
Star of BBC’s Upstart Crow, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Friday Night Project and Dave’s One Night Stand.
Since winning the prestigious Channel 4 So You Think You’re Funny Award at the Edinburgh Festival in 1998, Rob Rouse has toured the world for the last 27 years! Fortunately, over a quarter of a century in ‘the biz’ hasn’t made him in the slightest bit sensible..
WINNER UK Comedy Awards 'Comic's Comic Best Act 2025'
WINNER Yorkshire Comedy Awards 'Best Act 2025'
“He’s a man with genuinely funny bones”
The Sunday Times
“One of my favourite comics. A very silly and funny man”
Greg Davies
“Rob Rouse is a joy machine, a natural clown”
Kerry Godliman
“An extraordinary comedian”
Jessica Fostekew, The Observer
“I have been helpless with laughter watching Rob on stage. Pure, joyful, hilarious stand up. He’s one of the best there is. He’s a very silly man. Very silly indeed”
Marcus Brigstocke
Opening Act is the excellent JACOB NUSSEY
Jacob Nussey unassumingly draws in audiences with his deadpan style, sharp jokes, and ill-fated anecdotes with clever punchlines.
Jacob quickly established himself on the comedy circuit, performing tour support for Jason Manford, Russell Kane, and Jack Carroll.
He was named by Chortle as one to watch in 2023. After winning Bury Met Comedian of the Year, and West Didsbury Comedy Festival New Act of the Year. As well as being a finalist Leicester Square Theatre Comedian of the year.
Middle Act is the splendid ELAINE ROBERTSON
★★★★★ – Ed Fringe Review ★★★★ – Chortle ★★★★ – Fest Mag
As seen on BBC3 'New Comedian of the Year Regional Finalist'. County Durham born she has been described as ‘Laugh out loud’ (The Cherwell)
Host for the night is Shoe Cake Fave CHRIS LUMB
A superb impressionist and a warm, welcoming, friendly host. Chris has appeared on TV shows such as 'Russell Howard's Good News' and 'Britain's Got Talent'
