Hasan Al-Habib : Stuck in the Middle (East) With You ( Preview / Work In Progress)
Arab. Muslim. Brummy. 'Deliciously funny' (Guardian) Hasan Al-Habib's Edinburgh Fringe debut show Death to the West (Midlands), about growing up Iraqi in Birmingham during the second gulf war, sold out its entire run in Edinburgh and Soho Theatre in London.
He returns with a WIP of his new show: “Stuck in the Middle (East) with you”.
His agent told him it needs to be more relatable for White British people, so it’s all about growing up as a child of divorce and how love, loyalty and resentment coexist within family. 25% of artist’s proceeds will go to the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians. “Deliciously funny” - Guardian “Al-Habib will be famous” - Rolling Stone “Material for Live at the Apollo” - Scotsman “Al-Habib is an observant Muslim” - GB News

Even virtually, this event was fab! Lots of really good comedians and it was such a refreshing change whilst in lockdown! Thanks!

All for charity so you can't put a price on that. My sofa - top venue. The performers did a cracking job with the challenges of no human audience and speaking to a screen but I giggled A LOT and felt just as involved as in a pre covid show. Thanks team for lifting our lockdown.

It was my first experience of a comedy night via zoom. Loved it, so much fun. Great atmosphere. All great comedians with different styles that complimented each other. Great to know that we were raising money for a great charity just by buying and ticket and watching the show
