An Audience with Ricky Tomlinson

What a brilliant find and a little gem of a place. We laughed so much at each of the acts, it was superb value for money. The audience interaction was great too. We’ll definitely be back!

We went to see Troy, expected a warm up act, but not two, hey ho, thats fine. But when the headline act was only on for 35 minutes. I felt a bit robbed tbh. While I appreciate he had another gig to goto over in Llandaff, cut one of the supporting acts not he time of the headline everyone come to see. Venue is fab, atmosphere was good, but I was left a diassapointed with the time Troy had, even though he was as funny as always, he seemed a bit rushed, which wasn't his fault.

As always, Carl and all the comedians were top notch, the venue gives the night a friendly vibe and all the acts fully engaged with the audience. The support acts are always excellent and tonight was no exception, Roger Monkhouse was fantastic, offering something for (almost) everyone. Troy Hawke was even better in the flesh, changing from Basil Fawlty-esque to his Greeters Guild, best. Jan would have been proud. He engaged with the crowd throughout and always fantastically funny.

What’s joy. An absolute joy. Genuinely funny people making us laugh. Lots.
