RAUL KOHLI

Raul Kohli has fast become one of the most captivating acts in UK comedy. As one of the few Asians to have grown up in the far north of England (Newcastle Upon Tyne) he’s blessed with a Worldview that upends ethnicity, culture and class. Combining ‘Superb political comedy’ (The Scotsman) with surreal storytelling, Raul Kohli is a recognized name in Comedy. His debut Edinburgh Fringe show: Newcastle Brown Male was one of BBC Radio 4, The Huffington Post & the Skinny’s top picks of the Fringe 2016, while his most recent: All My Heroes Are Dead, in Jail or Touched Up Your Nan was nominated for Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival 2019. As well as several radio & TV appearances, Raul released his own comedy podcast about Hinduism on BBC Sounds’ (Comic Sanskrit 2019). Raul is an award-winning comedian (NATYS 2017) and appears regularly at some of the biggest comedy clubs around the World (The Stand Edinburgh, Frog & Bucket Manchester, Comedyhuis Netherlands). Raul also has a short yet ceremonious career in writing & acting, having wrote & starred in numerous RTS Award Nominated short films, he's also appeared in the sitcom : The VAR room (2021), wrote & starred in his own BBC Laugh Lesson: How We Ruined the Internet, wrote & done voicework on Mike Reiss (Writer/Producer – The Simpsons) podcast, & is presently acting as the lead in a short feature film: White Privilege (Cabin Productions, scheduled for release: 2023).

DAVE TWENTYMAN

F**king Brilliant JOHN BISHOP

Thoroughly impressed, best I’ve seen in ages. Great warmth and style  DAVE SPIKEY

Really like his stuff. JASON MANFORD

Dave is upbeat, cheery, down to earth, friendly, warm, quick on his feet…just some words that have been used to describe one of the most naturally funny comics on the UK comedy circuit today.

He has performed at a number of music festivals such as Leeds, V Festival and Download. Its no wonder then that Dave is one of the few modern comedians who proudly features on the Blackpool Comedy Carpet – a relatively new tourist attraction featuring the names of comedy greats from past and present and a huge honour for any comic.

He’s an affable, quick-witted comedian who somehow survived a childhood in St Helens by evolving rapid, startlingly-bright patter and a smile that he somehow stole from Barry Manilow.

With jokes and tales that you can’t help but relate to, he endears himself to even the rowdiest of audiences with ease and quite rightly is in hot demand at the biggest comedy clubs in the UK and overseas.

Dave has appeared on Made In The Northwest (ITV) and his radio credits include XFM Manchester, BBC Manchester & Key 103.

What a good evening! The venue was very cosy and comfortable, perfect for the performances. Very friendly staff. Locally brewed craft beers of a high standard, very nice. Comedians were very good. The host presenting the acts, Phil Cooper, was particularly entertaining and read the audience really well encouraging participation. All-in-all, a great night.
