Clwb Comedy @ The Lion: May

Clwb Comedy returns to The Lion's Den Comedy Club at The Lion, Treorchy for our May show after selling out in April. 

Host Drew Taylor introduces another hilarious line up of top comedians from Wales, The South West and beyond!

Joining us this month are: 

JOSH ELTON

Swansea-born Josh Elton has over seven years and well over a thousand gigs under his belt on the Welsh comedy circuit. Now based in Cardiff, this jewish, bilingual comic provides high-energy, raucous humour, proving a hit with any crowd. Since earning the title of the Welsh Unsigned Stand-Up of the Year award in 2017, he has performed right across the UK including the Edinburgh Fringe, Radnor, Neath and Leicester Comedy festivals as well as at top comedy clubs including Stone Circle and The Glee Club.

JETHRO BRADLEY

Jethro delivers deadpan absurdism, original observations and awkwardly confident physical comedy and has been making waves since he first started performing on the comedy scene in 2013. Having come to stand-up via the London Improv scene he was quick to impress across the board and quickly secured himself plaudits as Winner of the BBC New Comedy Award 2016, The Welsh Unsigned Act Award 2016 and winner of the Comedy Store’s infamous, King Gong. Jethro has performed at numerous top-level clubs in the UK including The Comedy Store, The Glee Club, Downstairs at the King’s Head and Amused Moose Soho as well as performing at festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe and Machynlleth Comedy Festival. Jethro has appeared on BBC1, on BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends with Clive Anderson, and was one of Terry Christian’s selections on Pick of the Week. Jethro has also featured on BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio Wales (performing stand-up at Machynlleth Comedy Festival and also as a guest on The Jamie Owen Show).

LOVELL SMITH

Lovell has performed all around the UK. In an incredibly short space of time, Lovell has established himself firmly on the British comedy circuit. Regularly performing at Glee Club amongst other prestigious venues, filling seats with laughs is never an issue. Not only that, but he’s also collected some international air miles along the way too!
