Bennett Arron is a BAFTA Shortlisted Writer, Comedian, Author and TV Presenter.
He has written and performed in two radio series, Bennett Arron is Jewelsh and Bennett Arron Worries About… both of which were nominated for a Celtic Media Award.
He is currently playing the role of Morris in the Radio 4 Series ALONE.
Bennett has performed all around the UK as well as entertaining audiences in Italy, Australia, Germany, Poland, South Africa and Hong Kong. He also supported Ricky Gervais on some of his tour gigs.
Bennett presented the BBC documentary The Kosher Comedian in which he traced his family’s roots from Lithuania to South Wales. He also directed and presented the Channel 4 documentary How To Steal An Identityin which he stole the identity of the Home Secretary. The programme was Pick of the Day in The Guardian and The Telegraph.
His other television and radio credits include; Loose Ends, Not Tonight With John Sergeant, Glee Time (in which he hosted a series of six stand-up comedy shows), Never Write Off The Germans (a panel show for Radio 2) and he was a Presenter on Big Brother's Little Brother for Channel 4.
He has written for many comedy programmes, including Hit The Road Jack, Off Their Rockers and the BAFTA winning V Graham Norton. He also wrote over 30 episodes of Genie in The House, the highest-rated children's sitcom on Nickelodeon and was one of the main writers of the BAFTA winning Slammer for the BBC.
Bennett has written three books: the memoir Heard The One About Identity Theft? the romantic comedy novel The Girl From The Discothequeand the Step-By-Step Guide to Sitcom Writing My First Sitcom
Bennett is a past winner of both the TAPS Comedy Writer of the Year Award and the BBC New Writer's Award, and is a past finalist of the BBC New Comedy Awards. However his proudest moment was coming third in an International Disco Dancing Championship in Tenerife.
