Run by award-winning Writer and Comedian Bennett Arron who has had over 30 sitcom scripts and a feature film produced on television and has written for several BAFTA-winning programmes, the Workshop will include:

How to Submit Scripts to Producers
By the end of this intensive One Day Workshop you will be ready to write a scene for a Brand New Sitcom which Bennett will read and then give notes.
Previous students, some of whom had never written a script before, and who include Comedians Geoff Norcott and Chris McCausland and Screenwriter Brigit Grant have:

- Had their Screenplay produced by a major Film Studio
- Won the BAFTA Rocliffe Writing Award

What a fantastic course. I zoomed in from Australia and it was well worth it! Bennett was absolutely brilliant. He explained all the basics and the group created a pilot episode together for a new sitcom. At the beginning, I wondered if we were actually being taken for a ride - was this just a way for someone to glean ideas for a new show? But no, it was a really smart way to get the group to ‘buy in’ and develop characters and plot. By doing, we learnt. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and would recommend it to anyone interested in writing a sitcom.

Informative and insightful course ,Bennetts’ style is funny, inclusive and encouraging . I think a course twice as long at twice the price would be really beneficial.
