This week at Impossible Comedy Club...
MC Allyson June Smith
After her initial forays into standup garnered her some success, Allyson hit the comedy club circuit, which in turn propelled her to headlining gigs at festivals. She shone in multiple high-profile slots at the Winnipeg, Halifax and Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival. And that was just the start. In the years that followed she received multiple nominations for Best Female Stand-up at the Canadian Comedy Awards, taped her own Comedy Now special and did stints on MuchMusic’s Video on Trial and CBC’s The Debaters. “Simply one of the funniest comedians I’ve ever worked with. Can play any crowd and always has them laughing their heads off. She’s gonna be a huge star" - JASON MANFORD
Paul Pirie
Paul Pirie is a stand out Scottish stand up comedian. His physical, theatrical presence on stage and his sharp, rapid-fire comedy onslaught is packed with highly entertaining material, blurring the line between real-life anecdotes and flights of fancy. Shortly after embarking on a stand up comedy career, he was runner-up in the Scottish Comedian Of The Year competition and a member of the Glasgow-based comedy improv group, Dance Monkey Boy. "Fizzing with energy and spewing out one-liners like he had just scoffed a dodgy prawn, Pirie is a man we will be seeing more of." Daily Record
Mick Ferry
Mick Ferry quickly established himself as one of the most sought after comics on the British and International comedy circuit. One of the finest comperes around, Mick Ferry performs regularly at The Comedy Store in London and Manchester as well as headlining at comedy venues nationwide. He is also a regular member of the prestigious topical Cutting Edge Team at the Comedy Store. On our TV screens, Mick has recently starred in BBC One`s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow as well as Comedy Blue and The Comedy Store for Comedy Central. He made his big screen debut in 2009 in Ken Loach’s Looking For Eric – a hit feature film at the Cannes film festival where it was nominated for the prestigious Palm D’Or. A prolific writer, Mick was a writer on John Bishop’s Britain for BBC One and has also previously written for BBC3`s Smalltime. A legend of the comedy circuit. "See him or regret it" John Bishop
