Hi All
It is with regret that I have had to make the decision to cancel the show on Thursday. I really have not taken this decision lightly but in the interests of transparency, please let me explain.
You may not be aware, but I have been recovering from bowel cancer, and during that time I have continued to work. During my cancer operation a mistake was made and my ureter was severed, leaving me with 2 temporary bags on my abdomen. As time has gone on, working has becoming increasingly difficult, and even driving to a gig is causing me significant problems.
This weekends show led to my stoma bleeding badly and my kidney bleeding for 2 days. The pain was excruciating, and it is clear I Need to rest and recover.
I do not take such decisions lightly and I can count on one hand the amount of shows I have cancelled in 13 years, and the bulk of those where caused by covid. This is just the 2nd show I have cancelled due to ill health.
I hope you understand and please trust me when I say your frustrations and disappointment is felt by me, as I too am gutted I could not bring this show to you.
I have 2 options. I would like to roll over your tickets to a future show, the dates for those are - Friday 21 November, or into 2026 we have 13 Feb, 10 Apr, 5 Jun or 28 Aug. If you want to roll over, send me an email on jim@comedyhotspot.co.uk and I will sort out the necessaries. If none of those dates work for you I will issue you a refund. I can't refund ticket fees unfortunately because they are taken by a 3rd party and I have no control over those.
Once again, I am so sorry to have to do this. I will definitely see you in November, I just need some time to get over this mess I have been left in.
