Copy event details

“The Anti Self-Help Show” is the brand-new show from Austrian’s most famous - and only - lesbian comedian Alice Frick.

Award-winning comedian, Alice Frick, has tried out every piece of self-help advice available and is now the (Anti) Self-Help expert. She knows that good things will happen. Maybe not to you, but they will happen! In this show, you will learn why it’s good to not face your fear, how to say yes (and no) and what to do when you find out your inner child is a grumpy teenager. 'Alice’s sense of humour is brilliant. She makes me laugh every time' (Alice’s therapist).

“The Anti Self-Help Show” is Alice’s third solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It is based on her recently published book: “The Anti Self-Help Book”. In this solo show Alice talks about her crazy year when she had to deal with a break-up, a back surgery and the request of doing sextalk in German, “I don’t know which was the worst”, Alice says.

Frick is a comedian and writer who has produced a web-series off the back of her last solo show called “What the Frick”. Alice Frick has performed in Austria, Germany, the United States and Great Britain. She has done several TV shows in Germany and Austria. If she had comedian parents she would be the child of Ellen DeGeneres and Miranda Hart with an Arnold Schwarzenegger accent, dressed by Maria von Trapp.
