ARTHUR SMITH
Arthur Smith is one of the UK’s most respected and influential comedians, writers and presenters, bringing decades of sharp, intelligent and gloriously off-beat comedy to the stage.
A Perrier Award winner at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Arthur has enjoyed an extraordinary career across live comedy, television and radio. He is best known as the creator and host of the cult BBC Radio 4 series Loose Ends, which ran for over 30 years, as well as for his appearances on Have I Got News For You, They Think It’s All Over, QI and Grumpy Old Men.
A celebrated live performer, Arthur is renowned for his warm, witty storytelling style, combining surreal humour, political insight and personal anecdotes. He remains a regular and much-loved presence at comedy festivals and theatres across the UK, including the Edinburgh Fringe.
In addition to his work on stage and screen, Arthur is an accomplished writer and author, with several books to his name exploring comedy, culture and modern life. Sorry to learn Bobby Davro was quite unwell, get well soon Bobby and VERY happy Terry Alderton stepped up. He was brilliant and well supported by Andrew Maxwell & Jack Skipper who were very funny. It ended as a great Friday night in Bexley. Quincy held it all together and I enjoyed his comedy too. Well done all!

Terry was absolute gold, genuinely had me laughing till my guts hurt!

Terry Alderton was brilliant! Hilarious! Quincy laughed at his own jokes too much and spent too much time having banter with the front row. Andrew Maxwell was too political and too loud. Jack Skipper was ok but used the ‘c’ word when it wasn’t necessary. Overall, not the best comedy night I’ve been too at Bexley, and the seats were much too close together - obviously to cram more people in.

Couldn't attend the event, due to massive traffic congestion in the area, leaving our roads blocked! Also had, earlier, requested a refund from JokePit, due to the main artist Bobby Davro being unfortunately admitted to hospital, who we really wanted to see, and a standin replacing him. Unfortunately JokePit failed to respond to my email ☹️
