Paul Tonkinson
A sensational live performer, Yorkshire man, marathon runner and former (double award-winning) Time Out Comedian of the Year, Paul Tonkinson has long upheld his esteemed reputation as one of the finest stand-ups the UK has to offer. With a unique and distinctive style, Tonkinson is noted for his effervescent physicality and skillful impressions, which bring alive exuberant, tender comic reflections on love, family and the day-to-day idiosyncrasies of 21st century living. A plethora of first class material, combined with tremendous charm and irrepressible, infectious energy make for quite a formidable talent.
Following his solo "Fancy Man" tour, he was given the opportunity to play to a wider audience, joining the mighty Michael McIntyre as a special guest on live shows around the UK & on his global arena tour; playing to millions across the globe, as far and wide as Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong.
On TV, he’s performed on BBC One’s Michael Mcintyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Comedy Central’s The Comedy Store and The World Stands-up. Back in the day, when he was a mere whippersnapper he had a stint presenting Ch. 4’s The Big Breakfast
"Excellent... extremely talented... brilliant" - Time Out
"Charismatic, combines the visual trickery of a Lee Evans with the improvisational skills of Paul Merton."THE INDEPENDENT
Carwyn Blayney
So You Think You're Funny Finalist, Winner Welsh Unsigned Comedian of the Year 2024 Tour support for Elis James.
Twayna Mayne
Twayna Mayne’s distinctive style has taken her to the finals of numerous competitions including the prestigious Leicester Square Theatre New Act of the Year & Up The Creek’s One to Watch. Her highly anticipated live show Black Girl achieved excellent critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe. Her follow up BBC Radio 4 series and BBC Sounds roundtable discussion format Twayna Mayne: Black Woman received a full standing ovation on record, with widespread critical acclaim and went on to be nominated for Best Comedy Production at the BBC Radio & Music Awards 2020, with a second series following in 2021.
Dru Cripps
Dru has a unique brand of spontaneously funny chaos, which he likes to refer to as: "Showing up and seeing what happens",
Fresh off the Westend, Dru is an act that needs to be seen to be misunderstood. Dru Cripps is a "show stealing" (Mark Aspen)
"astute abilities in clowning that lets him play the audience perfectly" (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) - - Quintessential Review
Maclarry
Straight outta Cape Town, Maclarry's here to take on the streets of London town with his quirky, observational style.
Oriana Buckland
Oriana did her first gig at Backyard Comedy Club to an audience of over 200 . As an actor (urgh) and musician (URGH) she’s performed at Soho Theatre, the Lyric in Hammersmith and Paines Plough Roundabout festival. She is very excited to be here.

Another great evening . The host always welcomes new people and helps create a real friendly atmosphere. The sound check makes sure the comedians can be heard. That’s why we keep coming back for more. Happy Mondays tomorrow night. No not Shaun and the boys.

The venue was rated as 5 star as it was my own house. The comedians were mostly enjoyable. The atmosphere created by the host was less than satisfactory. I felt that he was sharp and over emphasised the ‘rules’ of the event. Pestering people to put in their web cameras is inappropriate - there are all sort of genuine reasons as to why people choose not to activate their web cameras. If you are going to forcibly insist that people switch on their web camera then consider making it part of the Terms and Conditions so that people can choose to attend or not. At one point I was ‘muted’ and chastised in a public forum for apparently blurting something out which was not the case as I was sitting on my own quietly, not clapping or making any sort of noise that would be detected by the microphone. This spoiled part of the experience for me and would make me consider attending again.
