TweetMartin Westgate, live, with his full comedy show, with gags, chat and stories.
Martin is fast becoming a staple of the East Anglian comedy scene and beyond. An accomplished MC and performer Martin is making waves in the comedy scene gigging for some of the most recognised promoters in the country.
Martin approaches gigs the way he approaches most things in his life, wittily, with jokes and quickly. He brilliantly rinsed David Walliams on Britain’s Got Talent, and is more than capable of stepping away from the jokes and dealing with the audience when needed. Proud Norfolk boy flying the flag for Nelson’s County, even in strong winds (well he’s got the grip strength).
Martin is one of the 'go to' acts in Norfolk, an accomplished MC and is resident MC of Norfolk based Hooma Comedy Club. He has written and performed stand up sets and sketches for the BBC New Comedy Show, hosted the Sense of Hooma Podcast; and the online show 'Sunday Roast'. He has supported Tanyalee Davis on her national tour in 2024, Leon Mallett on his Norfolk tour and Gary Meikle and Carl Hutchinson on their Norwich legs of their tours.
“Belts out the gags!!” Damo Clark, Craic Den
"Witty, Wonderful and Wacky." Tanyalee Davis
"Martin asked me for a quote and I said yes... Saw him, liked him, hope he gives up soon before he starts costing me work." Gary Delaney
“Can handle a crowd and has funny bones.” Janey Godley
“Brilliant writing, fantastic jokes and a captivating story teller.” Carl Hutchinson

This review is a bit late as just seen this in my spam folder. My friend and I were a bit disappointed with this event, Leon was quite late arriving at the venue the audience had all arrived long before him, then his team had a few technical difficulties setting up so were quite late starting and we felt the show had been cut short so it finished on time, there was no apology from anyone for the late start either which I'm sure everyone there would of appreciated, we didn't enjoy the comedian that was on first he seemed very nervous and didn't think he was very funny it was as though he didn't know what he was going to say before he came on, having said all this we did enjoy Leon's set, loved all his songs and chat in between, although we saw him in Great Yarmouth last year and it was almost an identical show, I understand he only has a few Norfolk songs but maybe a few more different cover songs would of been good, as I've said we did enjoy Leon's set and we would go and see Leon again.
