The night itself is good value for money. I’ve been to several comedy nights at this venue. The heatwave caused real problems. The temperature was stifling because there’s no air con. Many in the audience were wafting themselves with any flyer to hand. Some people were visibly sweating. The bar is another issue. Downstairs only sells bottles. My partner went upstairs to the bar to find nothing on draft. He brought me a Diet Coke that was warm and flat. He took it back and they opened a new bottle which wasn’t much better, and they tried to charge him for it again! Many at the bar weren’t happy as the drinks weren’t cold. This really needs to be improved.

Absolutely brilliant night & Troy Hawke was a breath of fresh air. The only downside was the sauna experience. Air conditioning would have made all of the difference in the town hall. Everyone was melting!

What a fantastic evening Troy Hawke was superb. It was a particularly warm evening & I have to say that, without air conditioning, it felt as though we were watching in a sauna. I feel that air con would make the experience far more enjoyable.
