Anu Vaidyanathan: Allegory

Allegory is about situating one's identity in the constellation that is our circle of colleagues, friends, and family—while also nursing a pet octopus with digestive issues. The show playfully examines the conundrum of being an immigrant parent, surviving the hustle as working women, and deciphering our so-called freedom. It’s a comedic exploration of the balancing act between tradition and modernity, ambition and exhaustion, and connection and independence—all wrapped in sharp humour and heartfelt observations about the absurdities of life and relationships.
