TweetTuesday July 22nd - ALICE INDIA / JOE DEHUAI
The Rhostio Rooftop Comedy Festival is back! Now in its third year, Roasted Comedy has another special summer in store, with five whole weeks of double bill previews from some of the most exciting voices in comedy, with acts from across the UK bringing you advance previews of their latest solo shows before they take them to the Edinburgh Fringe. Join us live from the Rhostio roof terrace* for top quality coffee, cocktails and comedy!
Capacity is strictly limited out on the terrace, so buy your tickets in advance to secure your seat at just £8.50 each (£10 on the door), or get in early with an earlybird ticket for just £6.50!
Lineup:
ALICE INDIA: SEE YOU IN HELL
Alice-India is a sweet widdle baby cherub. But, biblically speaking so was the devil... In this debut hour, Alice-India explores moral relativism and being "one of the girls". Arrested only 10 days before receiving an autism and ADHD diagnosis, often misunderstood, Alice swan dives into good and evil. Black and white. Whether good people exist at all. And, if they do, does anyone want to sleep with them anyway? Fresh from a break-up and a miraculously clean DBS, Alice-India pays the ferryman and takes you across the River Styx. See you in hell, assholes.
JOE DEHUAI: DEHUAI ON HIS OWN SUPPLY
Intellectual slag Joe Dehuai is alone for the first time in a long time. After a breakup, a career change and a polyamourous clusterfuck, he’s doing the one thing no single man is brave enough to do: write an hour of standup comedy. Can this cheeky malcontent continue to find the casual magic in the mundane, or do things have to get worse before they get better? A show for anyone who’s imagined Sissyphus happy.
*Weather permitting, in bad weather the event will be held indoors at our usual venue
**IN THE EVENT OF A SELL OUT - THERE WILL BE *LIMITED* TICKETS AVAILABLE ON THE DOOR!

Great evening and will return! I haven't been to live comedy show before and it was very good fun and I got involved with the audience participation happily! There was Only one act I didn't really understand, but I think i was the wrong TA for that one so just one of those cases of 'you can't please all'. Venue was cool too, they just seemed ill prepared for an event, no hot chocolate, no chai, no vegan cakes :(

Great line up for a good cause. Shame the venue/layout wasn't really conducive to a comedy night, or maybe it was the audience who seemed to think it was ok to talk whilst the comedians performed, and noisily rustle crisp packets throughout... Maybe with a different layout and audience, I would recommend it... Rob Hughes and Costas were particular standout stand ups! :-)
