Beefy’s Big Weekender - Sara Pascoe

Transfer to the Butcher’s Arms from the previous location at Rhiwbina Social Club was without rationality. A draughty, cold and uncomfortable fire risk which spoiled the entertainment.

The venue was totally unsuitable for the show, it was hard to enjoy with it being so cold and we left half way through. It was a shame because it was a good show, but probably would have been better if we knew we needed to dress for being outdoors. I think everyone around us was surprised at the venues conditions, and the fact gas heaters weren't checked for gas before we arrived! The infra red lights on the one side didn't work for most of the show, it really spoilt it.

Venue was cold wet and windy. Glad i took a thick coat. Don’t suppose it could be helped but some warning so people could dress appropriately might have improved the situation for some. It was a great atmosphere except when a fight broke out at the end. Perhaps a bouncer should of been there to control the situation rather than leaving guests trying to sort drunken bullies out.

Fab night we really enjoyed ourselves, although quite cold in the venue.
