White working-class children failed by education, say people who've never shared a desk with them

In a classic case of 'armchair quarterbacking,' individuals who have probably never set foot in a working-class classroom are lamenting the failures of the education system towards white working-class children. It's a bit like complaining that the soup is too salty without ever having picked up a spoon.

These commentators, who presumably have as much experience with working-class schools as they do with piloting a space shuttle, argue that the education system is failing these kids. Perhaps it's time they swapped their ivory towers for a seat in the classroom to truly understand the challenges. After all, it's easy to pass judgment from afar, but getting up close might just reveal a different story altogether.
