Smash hit competitive anecdotes panel show ‘The Comedy Arcade’ comes to Sheffield for the first time for a live recording

 Competitive anecdotes podcast The Comedy Arcade is making it's Sheffield debut at Steel City Comedy Club this friday after a sell out spell at Edinburgh Fringe and Manchester's Women in Comedy Festival last month.

 The show, a live play on the chartbusting podcast, involves five personalities pitching stories and anecdotes competitively from topics drawn at random from a bingo ball, with points awarded capriciously by Welsh comic and Sheffield resident Vix Leyton supported by steers from the audience. 

The Sheffield show will feature BBC New Comedian of the year finalist and NHS worker Maxine Wade, Yorkshire Best Breakthrough Act 2023 & Hull New Comedian of the Year Jack Mclean, local up and coming stand ups Hannah Braggins and Stevie Yardy. 

Plus they will be joined by comedian, Journalist and author Marc Burrows - whose Magic of Terry Pratchett show is currently touring globally, and whose new book 'Nirvana: A Detailed Guide to the Band that Changed Everything' is on a lot of music fans' christmas lists this year.
