Award winning comedian Jeff Japers originated from Glossop in the North of England, and moved to Pontypridd in South Wales in 1992. He's been writing comedy songs for over 20 years, performing them on the Welsh music scene to great acclaim, both with his band Gaudy Orde and as a solo artist.
In 2015 he brought his songs to the comedy circuit and by 2016 got to the finals of the Welsh Unsigned Stand-up Awards (WUSA). Since then he has become a regular headliner on the South Wales scene. In 2022 Jeff won the Musical Comedy Awards, a national competition with various heats and a final in the Bloomsbury Theate in London. Not only did Jeff win the main prize, judged by industry professionals, but also the audience favourite award.

Loved this gentleman. So funny and had such such a unique style of comedy. Refreshingly good. Thank you

My face hurt from laughing! Surreal and ridiculous, but with an authenticity that engaged the audience from start to finish. Japers interweaves technology, musicality, and showmanship to masterful effect. Second time I've seen him, and it was just as brilliant as the first. His themes and vibe are reminiscent of John Shuttlworth in some respects, but Jeff Japers is very much his in highly original individual. Once experienced you'll not forget him. You really won't.

Off the wall, surreal, absurdist comedy. Think Eddie Izzard but with songs and you’re not far wrong.

Lost the plot a bit and with it some of the audience, but still a great belly laugh of an act

Not entirely my cup of tea, however the performance was very well put together and planned out. Definitely won me over.
