On Monday, London kicks things off with Furiozo, the not-so-scary gangster alter-ego of Poland's Piotr Sikora, performing at Soho Theatre. Over in Oxford on Tuesday, the city's month-long comedy festival keeps the chuckles coming with shows every night.

Wednesday takes us to Harrogate, where a stellar line-up at the Sitting Room Comedy Club features the likes of Jo Caulfield and Tom Little, with a similar line-up moving to York the next day.

Thursday in London is a comedic bonanza with the Fast Fringe at Pleasance Islington, showcasing a dizzying array of acts headed to the Edinburgh Fringe. Meanwhile, cabaret legends Kiki & Herb return to the Soho Theatre, and Brighton's Comedy Garden opens with stars like Ed Gamble and Rosie Jones.

Friday sees London’s Balham Comedy Festival kick off at The Bedford, with Bridget Christie and Rhys James among the big names. Across the river, Stewart Lee is at the Royal Festival Hall, poking fun at anti-woke comedians.

Saturday brings the comedy heat to Newcastle's new club at Digital, and Wolverhampton gets a taste of Just the Tonic Comedy Club at Molineux Stadium, headlined by pun-master Gary Delaney.

So grab your tickets and prepare for a week filled with laughter and joy as the countdown to the Edinburgh Fringe continues!
