The Daily Show’s Desi Lydic Doubles Up at Creative Arts Emmys

In the world of late-night television, it wasn't just Saturday Night Live having a field day at the Creative Arts Emmys. While SNL scooped up 11 awards, Desi Lydic from The Daily Show bagged two Emmys herself, showcasing late-night's comedic prowess across various categories.

Lydic's YouTube offshoot, The Daily Show: Desi Lydic Foxsplains, won Outstanding Short Form Comedy, Drama or Variety Series, and she also took home the Emmy for Outstanding Performer in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series. Other late-night favorites like Late Night With Seth Meyers: Corrections and The Rabbit Hole With Jimmy Kimmel were also in the mix.

Adding to the trophy haul, The Daily Show also secured a win for Outstanding Writing for a Nonfiction Program, thanks to Jordan Klepper's Fingers the Pulse: MAGA: The Next Generation.

Meanwhile, Stephen Colbert's show won its very first Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series, a prelude to the upcoming Primetime Emmy Awards where it faces off against rivals like Jimmy Kimmel.

Not to be outdone, Jimmy Kimmel himself won Outstanding Host for a Game Show for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. And former late-night host Conan O'Brien had a big night too, earning accolades for his travel series Conan O'Brien Must Go and the special Conan O'Brien: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
