The Boo Radleys, and other 90s bands who are still going despite popular demand

Ah, the 90s—a time when flannel was in vogue, and bands like The Boo Radleys had their moment in the sun, however brief it was. While 'Wake Up Boo!' might ring a bell, naming a second song by them might prove a challenge. Despite this, the band reunited in 2021 to release new music, met with a collective shrug from the public.

Then there's Skunk Anansie, the 'edgy' band of the 90s who reunited in 2009, presumably to the delight of their accountants more than their fans. Shed Seven, with their quintessentially 90s name, had a string of hits back in the day, but have since been quiet, much like your high school crush who didn't notice you, and then you saw them at a reunion 20 years later.

Blind Melon, on the other hand, have taken a leisurely pace with just three albums over 35 years, attributing their slow output partly to the unfortunate passing of their frontman. Meanwhile, Cast emerged from the ashes of the La's, continuing to play gigs that seem to be shrinking as fast as a wool sweater in a hot wash.

So, as nostalgia continues to tug at the heartstrings of those who remember the 90s fondly, these bands play on, sometimes to fewer fans than band members, proving that the show must go on, even if the audience has moved on.
