Sixth series for Sorry I Didn’t Know

ITV has given the green light for a sixth season of its comedic black history panel show, 'Sorry I Didn't Know'. This season brings a fresh twist as Chizzy Akudolu takes over the hosting duties from Jimmy Akingbola, who is busy filming the drama series 'Bel-Air'.

Eddie Kadi returns as a team captain, and he's joined by Richard Blackwood, who will be bringing his humor to the opposing team. While Jimmy Akingbola steps back from hosting, he remains on board as an executive producer and may return to host in future seasons.

Filming is scheduled for this summer, with plans to air during Black History Month in October, just like previous seasons. Co-creator Fraser Ayres expressed excitement, noting Chizzy's longstanding involvement with the show and lauding Richard as the perfect comedic match for Eddie.

ITV commissioner Katie Rawcliffe described the show as 'infectiously funny' and is eager to see Chizzy lead the charge this season.
