Sal Fulcher wins Sitcom Mission 2025

Sal Fulcher has clinched the title of Sitcom Mission 2025 winner with her hilarious script 'Therapists'. This prestigious competition, which has been running since 2010, attracted over 200 entries this year, reminding us that comedy can still hit the funny bone hard enough to leave a bruise.

The finalists' scripts were performed in front of an industry audience at the Museum Of Comedy, where Fulcher's 'Therapists' took the top prize. The script provides a comedic peek behind the scenes of therapists' minds, making you question whether you'd ever want to see one again—unless, of course, for comedic relief!

Fulcher, who juggles careers as a writer and psychotherapist, has an impressive history in the industry. From working on 'Hollyoaks' to developing her series through the Screen Yorkshire Spark scheme, she's a comedic force to reckon with.

Competition producer Lawrence Russell praised Fulcher's unique characters and escalating plot, calling the script a perfect comedy package. Not to be overlooked, 'Baeliffs' by Craig Hazell and Tom Holmes secured the runner-up position, while other finalists included 'False Start' by Jasmine Ballard and 'Kings of Convenience' by Nick Younger.

Sitcom Mission will return in 2026, promising more laughter and possibly, more therapy sessions!
