Quebec City, QC – In an amusing turn of events, four men plotting a far-right terror scheme were apprehended by the RCMP, not for their extremist activities, but for releasing a manifesto exclusively in English, failing to comply with Quebec's stringent language regulations.

The group's manifesto, which detailed their ideologically motivated violent extremism, neglected to include a French translation, thereby catching the attention of law enforcement in Quebec.

Sergeant Francois Philipe-Dupois of the Quebec City RCMP detachment explained, "We had reports of these men, some Canadian Armed Forces members, gathering weapons and explosives to seize local land. But their failure to provide a French translation of their call for 'violence against Canada’s Liberal tyranny' was what truly triggered our intervention."

One of the arrested members, Marc-Aurèle Chabot, noted that the English-only manifesto was a clerical error, intended to impress their American militia friends. He assured that, had their plan succeeded, they would have communicated their demands in French first.

The RCMP has mandated that any future proclamations from the group must be in French, including any weird flags and ransom notes with magazine-cut letters, preferably from French publications.

At press time, Quebec's Ministry of Justice was debating whether the group's violent intentions also warranted concern.
