Peter Kay writes another memoir

Peter Kay, the beloved British comedian, is gearing up to release his fifth book, titled 'Peter Kay’s Diary: The Monthly Memoir of a Boy from Bolton'. Scheduled for an October 9 release, this memoir promises a delightful mix of monthly 'memories and meanderings'.

The book, published by HarperCollins, comes in hardback, ebook, and an audio version narrated by the man himself. With a cover cheekily parodying Bridget Jones’s Diary, the memoir is not your average autobiography. Instead of following a chronological order, it dances around the calendar, reflecting different phases of Kay’s life.

Kay teases, 'Think of this autobiography as a 12-month subscription to my memories and meanderings across the calendar year. With each month reflecting a different phase of my life, complete with dodgy decisions, bizarre plot twists and more than a few laugh-out-loud moments.'

HarperCollins describes the book as his 'most heartfelt and hilarious autobiography yet', taking readers through a whirlwind year of Kay's life. From gym visits in January to summer holidays at Butlins, and even a September wedding, it's packed with warmth and wit.

Fans might remember his first book, 2007’s 'The Sound Of Laughter', which became the best-selling hardback autobiography ever, with over a million sales. Kay’s current blockbuster tour runs until May, and he shows no signs of slowing down.

If you can’t wait to delve into his life and laughter-filled stories, 'Peter Kay’s Diary: The Monthly Memoir Of A Boy From Bolton' is available for pre-order now.
