In a comedic twist, Pauline Hanson, the leader of Pauline Hanson’s One Nation, faces criticism head-on with her cartoon alter ego. The latest episode of the 'Pauline Hanson' cartoon sees Hanson playing herself and humorously addressing the notion that One Nation is just a one-person show.
Amidst the jabs about her party’s singular focus, the animated Hanson insists, 'One Nation is not a one-person show. Gina is heavily involved, so it’s at least a two-woman act,' referring to her colleague Gina.
She adds with characteristic flair, 'I also don’t make everything about myself. I make everything about Muslims and refugees and work tirelessly in finding ways to do so.' In true satirical fashion, Hanson denies that One Nation is purely her personal agenda, stating, 'It’s also about what I don’t want.'
The cartoon has its fans, including a particularly enthusiastic endorsement from Facebook user Pauline Hanson, who commented, 'Pauline is fantastic. Great move, well done Pauline.'
