Local dog Rufus, who is 49 in dog years, has expressed his frustration with humans who treat him like a child. "Enough is enough," he exclaimed. "Every time the people in the house talk to me, they use a baby voice. It's humiliating."
Rufus noted that humans often raise their voices and simplify their language when addressing him, which he finds patronizing. "I can hear how they talk to other adults, so why am I treated differently?" he questioned.
It's not just the family members; Rufus also encounters strangers on walks who refer to him as "puppy," despite his age and maturity. "It's disrespectful," Rufus added, hoping for a bit more recognition of his middle-aged status.
