EVERY media outlet in the UK, from the BBC to the smallest local website, is publishing photos of snow its bastard readers will not stop sending in.
The media is drowning in a blizzard of snow photos, forced to humor those who still read words instead of scrolling through videos. Despite the lackluster quality, these images are being published as if they were groundbreaking journalism.
A BBC spokesman lamented, "Snow. We get it. We’re not toddlers and it’s not exciting." Yet, readers dash out to capture their snowy gardens and local hills, thinking they’ve achieved photojournalistic greatness.
"Not sure if any of you realize," the spokesman continued, "but we’ve got a pretty substantial weather team here. An email titled ‘Snow in Llanddewi Velfrey!’ surprises and thrills nobody. Also, why were you up photographing that at 5am?"
Nevertheless, driven by desperation for content and an obligation to patronize, these unremarkable shots are uploaded for the world to see, even if they barely show any snow.
Bill McKay of Dunbartonshire proudly declared, "I’m an official BBC Weather Watcher. Wait til I tell the lads at the club."
