Dad ticking off holiday activities with ruthless efficiency

Martin Bishop, a 40-year-old dad, has taken family vacationing to a new level of efficiency at Center Parcs. Armed with a spreadsheet, he has already completed 14 pre-booked activities like archery, canoeing, and pottery painting, all while keeping a keen eye on the clock.

His wife Jo reveals that Martin's spreadsheet is a masterpiece of time slots and color-coded activities, but leaves no room for joy, spontaneity, or even unscheduled bathroom breaks. Jo recounted an instance where Martin referred her to Google Drive for a simple question, showcasing his dedication to the schedule.

The kids haven't been spared either; Martin has asked them if they thought they came on holiday to relax, and reprimanded them for not smiling enough in the five photos allowed per activity. The only time he shows satisfaction is with a fleeting smile when crossing off activities, akin to their brief scheduled lovemaking sessions.

Martin quipped, "I'll be glad when this holiday's out of the way. The good thing about Center Parcs is it costs as much as a fortnight for a week, saving a lot of time."
