Coalition Celebrates 4 Months of Almost Having Faith in Female Leader, Beating Old Record by 4 Months

The Coalition is in high spirits despite low poll numbers, as they celebrate a milestone of nearly four months without losing faith in their female leader, Sussan Ley. This achievement shatters their previous record by four months, marking a new era of prolonged, albeit cautious, confidence.

Though initially criticized as a 'glass cliff' appointment back in May, Sussan Ley’s leadership has surprised cynics with unwavering support from the shadow ministry team. MP Andrew Hastie even went as far as gifting Ley a cake to mark the occasion, humorously suggesting he was off to find the perfect knife.

Liberal Senator Jacinta Price also expressed her support, albeit in a somewhat redacted manner, indicating a level of political diplomacy. To commemorate this historic moment in gender equality, the Coalition is humorously considering quotes for reinstalling a glass ceiling in their party room.

While political analysts commend the party for defying odds with a female leader, they note that this four-month record is still considerably short compared to the 24-month tenure of Peta Credlin. Nevertheless, this marks an important step forward for the Coalition's approach to leadership diversity.
